    NME23 Satellite event MetrINo workshop:

Advancing on characterisation and standardisation methods: the regulatory needs and the industrial perspective”

    INFO & REGISTRATION

FREE but MANDATORY REGISTRATION by CLICKING HERE.

We are delighted to invite you to an exclusive free-of-charge workshop on “Advancing on characterisation and standardisation methods in Nanomedicine: The regulatory needs and the industrial perspective” organized by the new MetrINo project in Liverpool on June 22, 2023 by the afternoon (hybrid event), as part of the broader scientific conference Nanomed Europe 2023. This conference is the most important event this year in Europe focusing on the medical applications of nanotechnology.

Why should you participate in this workshop?

Our workshop, organized within the framework of the new EURAMET project MetrINo will specifically address the regulatory challenges of nanomedicine, providing a unique opportunity to share your expectations, discuss the critical issues facing our sector and the priorities for advancing standardisation actions and development of reference materials that are fit for purpose for medicinal products and medical devices containing nanomaterials on the market or on trials (your developed products). With a highly interactive format, your expertise and opinions will directly contribute to the prioritization of future actions of the European metrology community, and more broadly for prioritising new developments of reference materials and standard test methods internationally.

Your experience and expertise of your company in the field would bring a lot to the discussion. We will focus the agenda on very concrete initiatives that the MetrINo project will develop in the 3 coming years to address the immediate metrological needs expressed by industry, regulatory agencies and policymakers to develop and validate traceable measurement methods and reference materials (RMs) for the assessment of the critical quality attributes (CQAs) of nanotherapeutics.

More globally, we strongly encourage you to participate in the NME23 3-day conference, notably in the plenary session on the “Regulatory challenges of nanomedicine”. Don’t miss this chance to collaborate with other leaders in the field, influence regulatory development, and shape the future of nanomedicine in Europe. Join us for this must-attend event and together, let’s overcome challenges and build a prosperous future for our industry.

In addition to the informative and interactive workshop, we are pleased to offer a variety of networking opportunities and social events throughout Nanomed Europe 2023. By attending, you will have the chance to connect with key decision-makers, researchers, and industry experts from across Europe, fostering valuable partnerships and collaborations. Register now to secure your place and take advantage of early-bird discounts.

Furthermore, participants of the MetrIno workshop will receive exclusive access to post-event resources, including workshop presentations and a summary report detailing the outcomes and recommendations. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to gain insights into the latest nanomedicine advancements, and contribute to shaping the regulatory landscape of our industry.

    About MetrINo:

MetrINo-Metrology for Nanotherapeutics, starting the 1st June 2023 , is the first European collaborative project financed by the EURAMET (European Associations of National Metrology Institutes) to respond to immediate metrological needs in the field of nanomedicine expressed in the last 5 years by industry, regulatory agencies and policymakers. It aims to develop and validate traceable measurement methods and reference materials for the quality assessment of innovative nanotherapeutics, and for their detections in cells and tissues, that are fit for purpose for the formulations in the clinics. The main focus is on synthetic lipid-based, e.g., liposomes and LNPs-RNA, and metal oxide nanoparticles. The highly multidisciplinary consortium coordinated by the French Metrology Institute (LNE), and composed by 9 metrology institutes, the ETPN association, 2SME, 1 pharmaceutical industry, 1 hospital and 6 academic partners, aims at making Europe a leading player in the field of metrology applied to nanomedicine, and to support the industrial stakeholders internationally in the implementation of EMA, medical device regulation (MDR) and FDA directives by contributing to the development of suitable reference materials and consensus standards.
